Estimator - PlumbingPosition OverviewThe Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for plumbing projects, ensuring that all factors are considered for bids and proposals. This role involves collaborating with project managers, reviewing blueprints, and conducting take-offs to determine materials and labor costs.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing projectsConduct material take-offs and analyze project specificationsCollaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary project informationReview blueprints and design documents to assess project requirementsMaintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricingAdvice on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunitiesPrepare and submit bid proposals in a timely mannerTrack and report on the status of estimates and bidsQualificationsProven experience as an estimator in the plumbing industryStrong understanding of plumbing systems and componentsFamiliarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systemsProficient in take-off software and estimating toolsExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
