Position Overview:As a CNC Machinist, you'll work on cutting-edge, engineered-to-order products where precision matters. You'll set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines, machining complex metallic and non-metallic parts to tight tolerances. Your expertise in CNC machining practices will directly support the production of high-quality, custom components and make this challenging, hands-on work both technical and rewarding.Key Responsibilities: Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-codeMentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problemsExtensive knowledge of geometric dimensioning and toleranceProduce quality parts in a timely mannerVerify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Collaborate with Machinists, Project Managers, and Engineers to solve problems and improve processes Proper use of cranes for overhead liftingOther duties as assignedQualifications: RequiredHigh school diploma or GED4-8 years of related machine shop experience or completed Journeyman papers and 2 years of experienceProficient knowledge of trigonometry and geometry machinist mathematical skillsAdvanced knowledge of CNC machining techniquesProficient at reading and understanding measuring devicesProficient at reading and understanding blueprints and shop drawings, including geometric tolerancesAbility to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs.
