Our Aerospace Systems Group is seeking a Mechanical / Aerospace Engineer to support the development of advanced electro-mechanical designs.ResponsibilitiesPerform design, develop, and oversee the manufacture of test fixtures and associated mechanisms through test and deliveryCollaborate with the Program Manager to define project objectives, timelines, and deliverablesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system performance and reliabilityAuthor drawings, assembly documentation, and test plansWork in a team environment involving experts in diverse disciplines (e.g. aero-thermal and thermo-structural analyses, RF and IR signature effects of materials and configurations, etc.)Requirements Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience designing mechanisms and structures in challenging vibration, shock, and thermal environmentsStrong understanding of computational fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and boundary layer theoryExperience with the various elements of mechanical design and drafting, including selection of structural materials, adhesive and fastener selection; AMSE Y14.5 and other relevant ASME drafting standards; familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100/MIL Specifications as they apply to aerospace structuresExperience using parametric CAD software to create models of assemblies, parts and drawings.
