Distribution Center Team Lead

The candidate will coordinate with the DC Floor Supervisor for staging, tagging, and splitting inventory by store, driving the accuracy and efficiency of the DC Team Associates. Flexible schedule is required in order to support the needs of the business, which includes weeknights and Saturdays as needed..Responsibilities Ensure proper training of new team members without set time and motivate assigned team members Delegate assignments and ensure floor associates are working effectively and efficiently Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, or training as needed Inspect product for damages, loss, or defects and notify DC Supervisor of findings Coordinate processing discrepancy resolution with appropriate departments Adhere to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures Ensure product is stored accurately and safely Maintain a clean work area, free of safety hazards Operate dolly and cart to move product and boxes Stage product to workspaces in order to keep teams flowing and productive Must learn and be able to use basic computer skills Flexible availability; occasional weeknights until 8PM, SaturdaysRequired Skills Must be at least 16 years old to apply The ability to lead and motivate a team Extraordinary organization and planning skills Excellent communication and 'people' skills The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations Self-motivated and time management skills Retail distribution experience is a plus but not required Ability to stand and be on feet for long periods of time Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift/push/pull up to 50lbs with or without accommodations
