Location: Kirby Rd MDJob Req ID: 15682Join our amazing team and contribute as a:Transfer Machine OperatorABOUT THE ROLEAmrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Transfer Machine Operator in our Asphalt division.The transfer machine operator is responsible for efficiently and safely moving hot mix asphalt from delivery trucks to the paver, ensuring a consistent material flow for high-quality paving operations. They perform daily equipment checks, make minor adjustments as needed, coordinate with the paving crew, and maintain strict adherence to safety and job site procedures.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHOperate asphalt transfer machines to move and distribute hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers efficiently and safelyMonitor and control material flow to ensure consistent supply to the paving operationAdjust machine settings and conveyor speed to maintain proper asphalt placement and minimize material lossCoordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew members to maintain smooth workflowPerform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting on transfer equipmentIdentify and report any mechanical issues or operational concerns to supervisors promptlyFollow project plans, job specifications, and safety protocols, including traffic control and hot mix handling proceduresMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, ensuring proper handling of asphalt and equipmentDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projectsTravel Requirements: Daily travel required, Must have reliable transportationStrong understanding of hot mix asphalt handling, material flow, and distribution techniquesSkilled in setting up, adjusting, and operating transfer equipment for efficient and precise asphalt placementAbility to read and follow project plans, paving layouts, and job specifications accuratelyKnowledge of preventive maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and equipment careAbility to coordinate effectively with truck drivers, paver operators, and the paving crew to maintain smooth productionCommitment to strict adherence to job site safety protocols, traffic control, and hot mix handling proceduresReliable, punctual, and dedicated to producing high-quality paving results while supporting the teamAdditional Requirements:Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
