NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Manual Machinist in Mansfield, Texas. -Background friendly- No drug testing required PPE-Jeans, long sleeve and steel toe boots All employees must sign handbook Shift: 1st shift, schedule 7a - 3:30p, Monday - Friday Pay: $25-28/hour depending on experienceWe are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to join our metal fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating manual mills (including Bridgeports) and manual lathes, with a strong ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and machine parts to tight tolerances. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual milling machines, including Bridgeport-style mills Set up and operate manual lathes with a high level of proficiency Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints Accurately measure parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other precision measuring tools Machine parts to specified tolerances and quality standards Perform basic layout work and material preparation Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Perform routine machine maintenance and identify tooling or machine issues Work closely with shop supervisors and other fabricators to meet production deadlines Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Manual Machinist in a metal fabrication or machine shop environment Extensive experience with manual lathes (required) Strong experience with manual mills and Bridgeport machines Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Strong understanding of machining practices, feeds, speeds, and tolerances High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of manual machining experience Experience working with a variety of metals (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.)NSC Staffing values our employees and is committed to offering meaningful employment in safe workplace conditions.
