Job Title: Analytical ChemistJob Description Join our team as an Analytical Chemist, where you will work in the lab conducting tests on both new and existing clinical microbiology products. Your role will be pivotal in supporting product development by generating reliable analytical data and maintaining the operation of analytical instruments. You will analyze results, document findings, and communicate updates with the team, all while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities + Perform routine analytical testing and develop analytical methods based on product development and support needs using effective and efficient design control techniques. + Participate in the execution of validation protocols. + Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment including Thermo Agilent HPLC-UV and Thermo IC. + Run routine analytical tests using LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV, and Ion Chromatography (IC). + Develop and refine analytical methods to support new products. + Execute and support method validation protocols. + Troubleshoot instruments and experimental issues. + Analyze data, interpret results, and recommend next steps. + Design experiments to improve performance or investigate failures. + Write technical reports and present results to team members. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. + Properly handle chemicals and dispose of waste per safety guidelines. Essential Skills + Proficiency in chemistry and analytical chemistry. + Strong hands-on lab skills, particularly in LC-MS/MS method development. + Ability to analyze data carefully and draw logical conclusions. + 2+ years of experience with LC-MS/MS method development. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a Life Science field. + Experience working in a regulated environment (cGMP/FDA preferred). + Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Minitab a plus). + Familiarity with analytical lab instruments and quality systems. + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. + Ability to manage multiple experiments and deadlines simultaneously. + Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. + Clear written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment This position is based in a lab environment, requiring onsite presence 5 days a week during the 1st shift. The work culture is fast-paced and deadline-driven, offering the opportunity to lead the setup of operations transferred from San Jose. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hazelwood, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
