Job Title: Banquet Server Reports to: Banquet DirectorRate: $15-17/hr plus gratuity/tips. Starting wage depends on experience, qualifications, etc.Timeframe: Full-time, part-time, year-round, must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during special events. If you're looking for a place where no two days are the same and the people are as top-notch as the property, you've just found it.Job Summary: The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service during banquets, weddings, golf outings, meetings, and special events at Medinah Country Club. This role supports the club's commitment to excellence by delivering professional, courteous, and efficient service while creating a memorable experience for our members and their guests.Job Responsibilities: Ensure banquets are set up properly according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor. Serve food and beverages in a timely, professional, and attentive manner. Maintain a high standard of service, etiquette, appearance, and hospitality. Anticipate member and guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns. Clear tables, help break down event spaces, and properly store equipment after events. Communicate effectively with banquet managers, kitchen staff, and catering staff. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines. Adhere to club policies, service standards, and safety procedures. Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Banquet Director or Banquet Managers.Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Previous banquet, catering, or food and beverage service experience preferred. Knowledge of formal dining and banquet service styles a plus. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Illinois Bassett and Food Handler certifications required.
