Pharmacy Technician in Glenview, IL

This role offers an opportunity to provide essential pharmacy technician support in a behavioral hospital setting. The position requires a licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician to assist with medication preparation and delivery for an average daily census of 145 patients, processing 300-400 prescriptions daily. Location Glenview, IL (Local candidates preferred) Contract role with coverage starting ASAP, approximately 2-3 shifts per week through July Coverage hours: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, with possibility of staying later Weekend coverage may be required Key Responsibilities Accurately fill and deliver medications to hospital units Complete 2-3 days of training/orientation prior to starting Utilize HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation (training provided) Maintain adherence to dress code policies, including wearing scrubs (black/gray) or business casual and closed-toe shoes Qualifications and Experience Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required Ability to walk up to 10,000 steps per day Willingness to comply with appearance standards (natural hair color, short fingernails, no jeans or overly casual attire) Previous experience with pharmacy automation and order entry systems is a plus but not required due to provided training Work Environment & Standards Hair must be natural in color; no bright dyes (green, purple, blue) Clothing must be free of rips, stains, tears; no hats unless for medical or religious reasons No jeans, spaghetti straps, or hoop earrings allowed Face piercings are acceptable This contract opportunity is ideal for licensed pharmacy technicians seeking meaningful work in a healthcare environment and who meet the specified physical and professional requirements.
