DOE Benefits include health, dental, and vision (eligible on the 1st of the month following 60 days after your start date). Employment Type: Contract Est. End Date: 2 years- 3/31/2025 Schedule: Day Shift Location: Austin, TX 78731Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Logistics Associate to work on-site with our client, a Fortune 500 electronics company. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits. Responsibilities: Prepare and ship items using the appropriate shipping method, select appropriate shipping container, pack items for safe delivery. Prepare bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct. Receive and unload incoming materials and uses available tools to verify accuracy of shipments. Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel Trace lost shipments and/or file claims for lost or damaged items May operate material handling equipment that could include forklift, electric pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines, carousels, walkie-stackers, order pickers as needed Provide root cause and corrective actions for monthly business fundamentals, that fall out of control, or as requested by direct Supervisor Provide first level auditing of job transactions and output for compliance with written processes and required guidelines. Partner with direct supervisor on coordination of month end, quarter end, or yearend output requirements Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or health standards Perform miscellaneous logistics related administrative duties as assigned Maintain a clean, safe, working environment and optimize space utilization Routinely performs administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, prepare routine reports, file shipping and receiving records Qualifications: Previous warehouse, shipping material handling experience required Demonstrated track record of success driving continuous improvement initiatives Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Demonstrates effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to lift a up to 50 pounds Knowledge of SharePoint systems.
