If your outside interests include golf, tennis, spa, beach, water sports, equestrian, shopping or just relaxation, we have the employee discounts to match.POSITION OBJECTIVEThe Catering & Events Coordinator supports the Catering & Events department in the planning, organization, and execution of hotel catering functions. This role provides administrative and operational support, including reporting, lead management, and event coordination, while serving as a liaison between clients, internal departments, and external vendors.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCommunicate with guests in alignment with luxury service standards while maintaining thorough knowledge of property and departmental procedures.Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event reports, and event resumes.Support the Catering and Conference Services teams with guest requests, including lead intake and contract processing.Maintain awareness of daily hotel features, outlets, and activities.Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports.Coordinate in-house events with operational departments to ensure seamless execution.Attend scheduled meetings and provide detailed notes and follow-up.Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all assignments.Remain flexible and responsive to operational needs.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma required.Previous experience in events or hospitality preferred.Experience with Delphi and Opera systems preferred.REQUIREMENTSAbility to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer proficiency.WORK ENVIRONMENTAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment and interact professionally with guests and colleagues.Ability to manage multiple tasks, adjust priorities, and handle interruptions.Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, and repetitive motions.Continuous talking and hearing required for guest and team communication.Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, printers, and multi-line phone systems.BENEFITSPaid Time Off / VacationHoliday PaySick PayHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life Insurance401(k) Savings PlanPaid Parental Leave (Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption)Short-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceSupplemental Insurance (Accident, Cancer, Life, AD&D)Direct DepositCompany-Paid UniformsRecognition Programs & RewardsProperty Discounts (Rooms, Retail, Dining, Water Parks, Golf, Spa, and more)Discounted ParkingTuition ReimbursementSalamander Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
