Sr Import/Export Analyst $39.75 $49.75/hr Hours can be somewhat flexible but generally Pacific time. Preferred candidates local to San Diego, but opened to remote if the right fit. 1 year assignment Must Have: Demonstrated experience designing and/or executing compliance audit frameworks (customs, trade, or financial controls). Experience working cross functionally with compliance and tax leadership and operational teams Experience working with SAP GTS Strong documentation, record keeping and process design skills (SOPs, work instructions, audit procedures) Strong experience in global trade compliance, with specific expertise in customs valuation and First Sale for Export (FSFE) concepts. Nice to Have: Experience in life science or medical device industry considered a plus Knowledge of other broader geographical regulations Microsoft Office skills required with strong Excel skills preferred JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary The First Sale for Export (FSFE) Audit Lead will be responsible for operationalizing and executing FSFE audit framework. This role will work closely with Global Trade Compliance (GTC) leadership to establish a robust, repeatable audit process, monitor requirements within operational workflows, support the ongoing FSFE audit cycle, deliver CBP audit readiness and successfully transition the operational execution to GTC team. Position Responsibilities Partner closely with Global Trade Compliance leadership to implement the FSFE audit framework, including: Execution on audit scope, objectives, frequency, and methodology aligned with FSFE requirements and internal compliance standards. Developing and documenting required internal work instructions, SOPs, and workflows to support FSFE auditing activities. Translating the audit framework into clear, executable operational steps. Execute the FSFE audit jointly with GTC leadership and the operational team including: Perform sample testing of FSFE transactions, supporting documentation, and controls to validate compliance and process effectiveness. Document audit findings, observations, and gaps, including root cause analysis where applicable. Support development of corrective actions, continuous improvements and remediation plans (if applicable) Prepare clear audit summaries and materials suitable for internal stakeholders. Develop and execute on analytics and reporting routines surrounding the audit activities Provide recommendations to strengthen FSFE controls, documentation practices, and operational consistency. Support handoff to GTC team Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.
