Position Information Classification Title Temporary Lab/Research Pay Grade 000 FLSA Non-Exempt FTE 100 Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications may be defined by the department based on the responsibilities of the position. Preferred Qualifications Position Summary A temporary/lab research position is needed to work in the soybean research lab to take agronomic notes, collect data, and harvest soybean research plots in the field. This position will work in the seed lab to weigh and clean samples, thresh individual plants, and prepare seed for spring planting. Additional Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification High school diploma Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical Demands The job will require lifting up to 50 lbs and overtime hours during the planting and harvesting season. Will need to be able to work in the fields and greenhouse in extreme heat. Ability to travel. Is driving required to perform essential duties outlined in this position? (This does not include infrequent trips) The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license when offered employment.
