Test and Automation Engineer

Extropic is hiring a Test and Automation Engineer to help accelerate development of our embedded systems. We're looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment, who is looking to take ownership of product areas and ensure quality and stability. The ideal candidate is a generalist who enjoys working close to the metal. Skills that are relevant to the job includeAutomating data collection of devices under testProgramming in Python and/or C++Familiarity with oscilloscopes and logic analyzersFamiliarity with embedded Linux systemsFamiliarity with standard hardware protocols (SPI,I2C,USB,PCIe,MIPI,UART)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsUseful but not necessary skills include:PCB design and layoutEmbedded system designHandling and debugging complex integrated systemsProbing and testing integrated circuits$90,000 - $200,000 a yearBase pay is only one part of the compensation package. Compensation additionally includes equity and benefits. Salary and equity compensation will vary wildly with experience level.
