The Wurzak Hotel Group is looking to add an upbeat Front Desk Agent / Guest Service Representative to their team to manage all aspects of hotel guest's accommodation within the Dalmar & Element hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will welcome new guests and issue room keys, manage reservations and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities.General RequirementsPerform all check-in and check-out tasksManage online and phone reservationsInform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card dataRegister guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign roomsProvide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenitiesRespond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional mannerLiaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needsConfirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guestsUpsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.Maintain updated records of bookings and paymentsOperates telephone equipment by accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, scheduling and setting wake-up calls, and paging guests to provide timely and efficient service.Contributes and maintains established information and communications sources such as department and front desk log books in order to enhance department communications and operations.Promptly responds to guest requests and escalates guest concerns or inquiries to the appropriate leader or department for quick resolutions.Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.May control cash transactions at the front desk and maintains complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy.Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.Education and ExperiencePrior experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar roleExperience with hotel reservations software, Lightspeed & EMPOWER GXPCustomer service experienceExcellent communication and organizational skillsOur PerksCompetitive SalaryPaid Time OffMedical, Dental, Vision health insuranceRobust supplemental insurance for Life, AD&D, Pets, legal and moreWellness programs for mental, physical, and financial wellnessHotel and travel discountsGenerous retirement/401k benefitsEducation and professional developmentComplimentary employee mealsWho We AreWurzak Hotel Group (WHG) is a Philadelphia-based owner, developer, and operator of premium branded full-service, extended stay, and focus service hotels.
