This role combines hands-on installation with circuit design, troubleshooting, and component sourcing. The ideal candidate will not only perform wiring and installation but also analyze electrical needs, recommend solutions, and procure the right parts to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, wire, and terminate DC electrical components on mobile equipment (alternators, batteries, chargers, inverters, controllers, sensors, etc.)Diagnose, design, and optimize DC electrical circuits for functionality and efficiencyRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsSelect and source appropriate parts, hardware, and wiring supplies to complete projects cost-effectivelyTroubleshoot and repair electrical issues in the field and in shop settingsWork with hydraulic and mechanical systems where electrical integration is requiredEnsure all work meets safely, quality, and industry standardsQUALIFICATIONSJourneyman Electrician, Electrical Technician, or equivalent hands-on experience (formal license preferred but not required if experience is strong)Strong background in DC electrical systems, preferable on mobile or heavy equipment (construction, agricultural, industrial, or marine equipment experience is a plus)Ability to design circuits, size conductors, and calculate loads properlyExperience with alternators, battery banks, isolators, DC-DC chargers, and related systemsSkilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysisComfortable with both field and shop environments; able to lift and install componentsSelf-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independentlyPreferredFamiliarity with PLCs, CAN bus, or control wiring in mobile equipmentBasic knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems as they integrate with electrical componentsVendor and parts sourcing experienceAs part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, and due to the requirement that employees be able to safely complete the tasks associated with this job position, a successful candidate may be required to take a pre-employment fit for duty test, including a drug and alcohol testing, and complete a satisfactory criminal record check.ConeTec is an equal opportunity employer.
