DescriptionMaintenance Technicians are responsible for completing necessary repairs to a variety of food manufacturing equipment. Additional duties are assigned as level increases. Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist on new equipment installation, working professionally with manufacturing representatives, Engineering team, and other cross functional department team members Diagnose equipment malfunctions utilizing inspection, operation and testing of equipment for diagnostic purposes. Provide support for root cause analysis to create corrective actions used to prevent repeat issues Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance including, but not limited to lubrication and frequency based tasksUnderstand and adhere to all safety guidelines and GMPs including Confined Space and LOTOUnderstand when to contact technical support for assistance for equipment repair or replacement Update computerized maintenance system with accurate information related to work performedExhibit a sense of urgency around work order completion and documentation of work performed; must be comfortable quickly escalating and communicating equipment issues to others for support Use CI Tools such as 5 Why for root cause analysis and problem-solvingRequirementsQualifications Successful candidates will have a 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or two plus years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting aptitude required; Electrical experience strongly preferredExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional teamProfessional, can-do mentalityThorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety StandardsAbility to multi task and prioritize; strong time management skills with the ability to work independently without extensive supervision
