Walworth Cellars is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations, guide team performance, and provide a curated shopping experience for every guest. This is a hands-on leadership role that supports the Store Manager and steps in as Manager-on-Duty as needed. As part of the Kelley Williamson Company, we're committed to quality, operational excellence, and a clean, safe shopping environment that feels as polished as the products we offer.Key Responsibilities:Support daily store operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and schedulingLead and mentor team members, ensuring a welcoming and knowledgeable in-store experienceDeliver exceptional customer service and act as a trusted product expert-recommending wine, spirits, and pairings with confidenceAssist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team membersMaintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards, including stocking and facing shelves, organizing displays, and keeping the sales floor pristineManage point-of-sale operations, including handling transactions, refunds, and shift reportingAssist in ordering and receiving inventory, prioritizing cost-effective deals and seasonal trendsSupport in creating impactful product displays based on seasonality, sales data, and margin opportunityAct as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) in the Store Manager's absenceMonitor store profitability by managing labor, preventing shrink, and promoting high-margin productsEnforce safety and compliance protocols, including proper alcohol sales procedures and loss preventionServe as a resource for both team and customers with deep product knowledge of wines, liquors, and specialty beveragesAddress operational concerns, customer issues, and store needs promptly and professionallyPerform end-of-shift procedures including paperwork, cash reconciliation, and safe balancingTotal Rewards:Medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as access to a Health Savings Account (HSA). RequirementsQualifications• Retail or hospitality leadership experience preferred-liquor, grocery, or specialty retail is a plus• Strong communication and coaching skills• Passion for customer service and an interest in beverage products• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends• Must be 21+ with a valid ID• High school diploma or GED requiredSalary Description $18-20 Per Hour
