Experience/Training:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or similar degree 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industryConstruction field experience preferredKnowledge of the subcontractor network in the CA market is preferred Critical Skills:Great customer service skillsExcellent computer skills, typing, Microsoft Office Suite, and BluebeamProficient in OnScreen Takeoff (OST)Consistently produces accurate work and has excellent attention to detailGood time management skillsProfit orientedClear written and verbal communicationWork well in a team environmentIndustry knowledge and aware of current market conditions and subcontractor networkDuties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)Defines work scope and select subcontractors in cooperation with preconstruction teamDevelops important relationships with subcontractors and considers the relationship when making decisionsProficient in quantity takeoffsProficient in organizing and assembling estimates in TimberlineSuccessful in hard bidding projects, organize scopes of work in bidday programBecomes proficient in conceptual estimating in Timberline through the CM Process (Program, Schematic, DD, CD, etc)Understands CPM Scheduling and can translate into construction budget. Clearly communicates with Subcontractors scheduling expectations.Understands means and methods of construction.
