RDQ is seeking a Engineering Manager to join our growing teams. Accredited School12+ years of experience in utility work preferredDesire to contribute and communicate with small and large project teamsDesire, aptitude, and motivation to learn and apply new conceptsProfessional Engineer (PE) certification is requiredDAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and Manage Project/Teams:Oversee the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects to ensure they are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints.Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical guidance and direction to ensure the highest level of quality and engineering integrity.Conduct regular project review meetings to monitor progress, address any technical challenges, and adjust project plans as necessary to meet objectives.Responsible for leading weekly one one-on-one meetings with direct reports along with investing in their day-to-day success.Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement:Encourage the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.Implement a framework for the regular review of project processes and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.Champion the use of best practices in engineering design and project management, ensuring that lessons learned are captured and shared across teams.Professional Development:Identify skill gaps within the team and develop tailored professional development plans to address them.Encourage team members to pursue relevant certifications and continuing education opportunities to stay at the forefront of the industry.Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to help them grow professionally and achieve their career goals.Identify and attend industry conferences and charity events to further promote RDQ and stay in the know with industry-leading updates.Company Direction:Align project objectives and team efforts with the company's strategic goals and vision.Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute engineering insights to company direction decisions.Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and drive the overall success of the company.Communicate company goals and updates to team members, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged with the company's direction.Customer Service:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that projects meet or exceed their expectations.Act as the primary engineering contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.Advocate for customer needs within the project team, ensuring that client feedback is integrated into project designs and processes.Manage Resources:Oversee the allocation of personnel, budget, and equipment resources across projects to maximize efficiency and meet project deadlines.Monitor project expenditures, ensuring resources are used judiciously and within budgetary constraints.Collaborate with procurement to acquire high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.Implement resource management tools and practices to optimize utilization and minimize waste.Culture:Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, collaboration, and respect.Lead by example in ethical conduct, professionalism, and dedication to quality.Encourage open communication and feedback within the team, creating a safe environment for sharing ideas and concerns.Organize team-building activities and participate in community outreach programs to strengthen team cohesion and connect with the broader community.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation, as well as attend occasional client meetings and site visits.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.Salary $150,000 - $175,000 per year
