Understanding proper safety and abiding by all quality rules instructed.Resolving problems using established procedures and common sense.Creating solutions, procedures and policies while working with various departments.Intermediate understanding of assigned work order/stage requirement and goalsQUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTESESSENTIALDESIRABLEHigh School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year experience in welding environmentIntermediate ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, recognizing welding symbols and specifications.Successful completion of certification to minimum of 2 WPSBasic Math skills and Mechanical aptitude.Must have excellent attendance.Ability to use hand and power toolsAbility to work in limited spacesStrong communication skills and effective at building relationships at all levelsEnergetic, motivated and goal oriented. Works well in a fast paced, team environmentFocus on detail and accuracy in all efforts. Quick learner and resourcefulPrior experience in a small organization, demonstrating abilities with multiple objectives and multitasking efforts.WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, fumes and airborne particles, temperature extremes and elevated noise level. Employees must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and or move more than 75 pounds.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to strand, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection and work boots. Birdon's senior management team, including Divisional Managers, may provide additional direction and duties from time to time. Clear communication and interpersonal skills are necessary as direct contact with Birdon clients, prospective clients, and production team is an important aspect of this position.
