Manufacturing Engineer - Controls

Main TasksJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Support daily plant productionTroubleshoot and solve electrical/PLC related problems on downed equipmentDesign and implement poke yoke quality countermeasuresWire and program additions to machinesReview safety of new and existing equipmentSupport OEM with new equipment installationSupport Maintenance with needed electrical prints and expertiseIntegrate MES along with MES specialist onto new and existing linesResponsible for the effective launch of new products and seamless transition of current products from advanced engineering to operationsPerforms time studies, line balancing and implements improvements to current production processes.Attends new design proposal and layout reviews and makes recommendations regarding manufacturability and compatibility with current manufacturing operations.Performs revisions to the process FMEA, control plan, and production flow for design change.Assists Production engineering for customer run at rates for new programs.Performs Investigation and implementation of counter measures to any internal and external quality or safety concernsReviews the performance of any process changes or machine improvements with the quality department to ensure compliance with customer requirements.REQUIREMENTS: Education: Associates degree or higher in an Electrical/Computer/Industrial/Engineering field.Experience: 4+ years of controls experience in a manufacturing/production environmentMinimum of 3 years of experience as a manufacturing engineerPreferred Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering fieldAutomotive manufacturing industry experienceSiemens TIA Portal/Step 7 PLC /WinCC HMI programmingWonderware IntouchSerial data communicationFanuc Robot programmingVision systemsRequired Skills: RSLogix5000/Studio5000 PLC programmingHMI programmingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareElectrical diagnosticsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsSkillsProcess ImprovementMaterial SelectionLean MethodologiesInnovation ManagementMachine Connectivity & Data SecurityProduct Testing & ValidationProduction PlanningHSE ComplianceProcess DevelopmentQuality Assurance
