HC&N Healthcare Solutions - Director of Recreation   Director of Recreation Job Description: A skilled nursing facility is seeking a Director of Recreation to join their team.   Director of Recreation Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Manage activities department staff, assign activities/tasks/deliveries/programs etc. Working with corporate guidelines to develop, plan, and implement monthly calendar of recreational programs and activities and plan special events based on the individual needs of residents Set up/break down and lead therapeutic activities to help residents with physical, mental, or psychosocial needs Document/track resident attendance during activities and resident council Review activity assessments for residents Organize & obtain department supplies Create department staff schedule and track & approve staff pto requests Assist in staff and resident birthday celebrations Involved in employee engagement activities.   Director of Recreation Qualifications: Must have LTC or skilled nursing facility experience (REQUIRED) Experience in care planning, MDS and overall program management (preferred) Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Director of Recreation 2 years experience (preferred) Musical talent is a plus!    Salary: UP TO $70,000 a year An Equal Opportunity Employer
