We are currently seeking a dedicated Sr. Global Trade Compliance Analyst to drive our compliance and brokerage processes to new heights.At Lakeland, we prioritize compliance and integrity in our international trade operations. We ensure that our practices align with regulatory requirements while delivering the highest-quality service to our customers. We will gather and communicate critical data, including HTS analysis, import matrix, and geopolitical trade developments to inform our strategies to all departments. This comprehensive approach will ensure that we effectively analyze risks and manage international trade.Key Responsibilities:Monitor geopolitical trends and their implications for trade policiesScreen transactions against Sanction Party Lists to mitigate risksOversee daily trade compliance operations across the US, Canada, and EUFoster strong relationships with customs brokers while ensuring regulatory adherenceDevelop and manage tariff databasesAid in crafting trade forecasts and projections while applying expertise in free trade agreements and rules of origin Data Analysis & ReportingAnalyze trade tariffs and duties for optimizationGenerate monthly duty reports for quarterly and yearly analysisResearch & StrategyConduct comprehensive market research to enhance trade initiatives and assess policy effectivenessCarry out market research to bolster trade initiatives and evaluate the effectiveness of trade strategiesCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with logistics, finance, customer service, and sales to optimize compliance processesTraining & Knowledge SharingProvide training and ongoing support to team members while keeping abreast of industry trends and best practicesRequired Skills and Qualifications:Degree in Business, international trade, or economics; equivalent experience is acceptable.Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.Skilled in ERP systems, especially SAP.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while promoting a culture of respect and continuous improvement.Independent decision-making capabilitiesStrong in Microsoft Suite and advanced ExcelMinimum Education / Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university3-5 years of work experience with 2 years of experience in logistics or compliancePreferred Education / Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university2 years of global experienceWorking Conditions / Equipment: Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and/or computer Willingness to be on call and adaptable to changing work schedules Occasional access to warehouse and manufacturing areas in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments Competence with standard office equipment and software Travel may be required domestically and internationally as necessary
