Are you a field construction professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional results? Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to help oversee daily operations on dynamic commercial construction projects across the Raleigh - Durham area. This is a key field role where you'll help ensure safety, quality, and scheduling excellence while collaborating closely with the project lead Superintendent, project managers, clients, and subcontractors. If you thrive in a fast-paced, field-based environment and are ready to make an impact with a company that values people and performance, we want to hear from you!Great office, team, company and culture in Raleigh!Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assist Superintendent to help oversee daily operations on construction job sitesCoordinate subcontractors in line with design, schedule, and safety programMonitor safety, compliance, and quality regulationsMaintain clear and ongoing communication with clients, project management, and public/building occupantsEducation & ExperienceMinimum 2 years' experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer or Project Engineer for a Commercial General Contractor in Commercial, Life Sciences, Office, Medical, Healthcare or Pharma constructionTechnical & Language SkillsCompetency in reading/interpreting building plans, schedules, product specs, and regulatory documents (e.g. permits, EPA, zoning, fire marshal)Skilled in writing reports and business correspondenceAble to present and respond effectively to clients, managers, and stakeholdersPhysical Demands:Regular requirements: talking, hearing, visual observation, moving around job siteFrequent: standing, walking, sitting, climbing, working from heightsLifting: up to 50 lbs independently, heavier with assistanceCapable of using stairs, ladders, operating forklifts, and using tools (e.g. chipping hammer, power tools)Vision: close vision for screens/documents; distance vision for machinery operations and observing site activitiesWork Environment:Majority of time spent on-site in environments with varying temperatures, changes in elevation, dusty or dirty conditions, loud sounds (>85 dB)Schedule flexibility might be required: early mornings, weekends, and night shifts if needed
