The Coordinator of Student Involvement & First Year Programs supports the mission of the Office of Student Involvement by providing hands-on coordination and assistance for programs, events, and student leadership initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Student Involvement, the Coordinator plays a key role in the planning and delivery of Summer Orientation, the training and development of student leaders, and the ongoing support of Fraternity & Sorority Life. This position assists with compliance and administrative processes related to student clubs and organizations, ensuring timely documentation, adherence to policies, and effective communication with student leaders. The Coordinator also holds regular standing meetings with key student leaders-including members of Greek organizations and other high-engagement student groups-to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement for successful programming and organizational management. The role requires a collaborative, service-oriented approach, working closely with colleagues across campus to create an engaging, inclusive student experience while maintaining operational efficiency within the Office of Student Involvement. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor's DegreeDemonstrated experience in New Student Orientation, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, Campus Activities, and/or Community Standards.Demonstrated commitment to providing leadership in enhancing an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging.Demonstrated excellent relationship-building and sustaining skills and organizational skills.Flexibility with work schedule.Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
