OVERVIEWMamaya Health seeks a Master's level intern to provide therapeutic services inoutpatient counseling practice. This position will be providing individual therapyto a wide variety of clients in an outpatient practice setting, and as needed inthe community. This position will be responsible for conducting clinical intakeswhich require knowledge of assessing DSM criteria. This position will be requiredto maintain quality and detailed clinical documentation and paperwork andprovide appropriate referrals to collaborative community resources asidentified.IDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate values and understands the importance of collaborationbetween the medical provider, care team, and therapist and must believedeeply in creating access to care. The ideal candidate will be an advocate forindividuals who are experiencing significant life transitions and barriers toresources, is detail-oriented, and has good time management and criticalthinking skills. Must be pursuing a master's in clinical psychology, social work,marriage and family therapy, or clinical mental health counseling. Must be ableto commit to a minimum of 2 semesters but ideally 3 or more semesters in thisrole.QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLSEducation + Experience | Bachelor's degree in social service field must bepursuing a Master's degree in clinical psychology, social work, professionalcounseling, or a related field.Communication | Skilled in speaking to persons with various social, cultural,economic, and educational backgrounds.Problem-Solving | Experience in developing solutions to complex problems.Demonstrated ability to identify the source of an issue and provide constructivestrategies to address it. Practicing curiosity and asking open, honest questionsof self and others.Organization | Detail oriented & good time management skills. Able to takeinitiative and complete tasks autonomously and within complianceguidelines.RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Carry a caseload of 10-12 individual clients to provide outpatient therapy2. Provide 4 hours of care coordination monthly3. Conduct intake screenings for incoming clients4. Attend and participate in weekly one-on-one supervision5. Maintain quality and detailed clinical documentation6. Take initiative to reach out to expert therapists on our team when additionalsupport is needed for a client7. Conduct clinical intakes which require knowledge in assessing DSMdiagnostic criteria8. Complete assessments and documentation utilizing Blueprint as asupportive tool (data collection software for standard mental healthassessments, ex: GAD-7, PHQ-9)9. Collaborate with wraparound services and referrals to ensurecomprehensive care.10. Other duties when needed and agreed upon with advance notice.COMPENSATIONThis position is not compensated. The applicant should be pursuing thisposition for graduate course credit.
