DETAILS: LOCATION: NASHVILLE, TN We are looking for a Controller to join an industry-leading organization to lead key efforts for the financial team. The ideal person will have gained experience in a controller role and have the desire to continue growing in a role supporting the VP of Finance directly. Our client is looking for someone with the ability to enhance current processes and build new processes as they continue to grow. This will be a hybrid working environment moving forward, however, the teams are currently remote as this client has adapted and put its people first since the onset of covid. RESPONSIBILITIES: Controller Adapt and develop accounting procedures and policies to keep up with company needs and requirements of the group. Manage investment requests and ensures proper control over cash and investments. Plan and develop an efficient and effective financial accounting system including: general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and planning and budgeting. Design and implement a system of internal control. Ensure the coordination standards and the financial policy/principles of the Franke group are adhered to. Arrange and control periodic physical inventories. Manage financial assets and safekeeping of the company's material assets. Identify problems, provides optional courses of action, and identifies likely outcomes. Analyze every aspect of company activities and identifies economic weaknesses, prepare reports that will serve as a basis for improving earnings and for reducing risks, and supervises the execution of such plans. Monitor and account for the flow of investment capital from the parent company into a subsidiary. Present monthly, quarterly, and annual results in particular balance sheets and profit & loss accounts. Prepare reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Manage month-end closing processes and reporting, budget preparation, budget proposals, and prepares supporting documentation and justification.
