Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob descriptionThe Large Format Digital Print Operator is responsible for operating equipment, pre-press with some graphic design and finishing assistance. Since this position serves as a liaison between customers and our production team, excellent customer service skills are necessary. This is a fast-paced environment, and the scope of work includes: clarifying product details, establishing priorities, expediting production workflow, ordering required materials and completing maintenance and troubleshooting for equipment (EFI Pro 30f, Vutek h5, and Colex Sharpcut SXX1732). Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary, as is the ability to meet deadlines and share knowledge on techniques and processes. This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however, there is a close working relationship with the staff in several departments to ensure that all details are fulfilled as shown on customer's order.Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in large format printing. Software knowledge should include Fiery and Adobe Suite.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining wide format printing equipment to produce high-quality prints and graphicsThe Large Format Digital Print Operator will collaborate with our design and production teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projectsKnow and comply with all safety features and safety rulesShow and demonstrate a quality-conscious attitudeDemonstrated good housekeeping skillsPrepares files for printingOperates and maintains large format printer to the fullest extent of output capabilitiesProactively work with maintenance, supervision and other large format employees to ensure optimum machine maintenance and efficiencyEvaluate output and make adjustments to obtain a desired level of image qualityTroubleshoots problems that occur during job submission or the printing processAble to understand and execute custom finishing requirementsAble to effectively operate a CNC cutter / router and keen cut toolsMonitors and manages material usage to allocated quantitiesComputer literateRequirementsQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Large Format Digital Print OperatorProficiency in Firey and Adobe SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills with a willingness to engage frequently with peersBasic math and unit conversion skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking skills.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:High School diploma required, associate degree preferredExperience with Large Format Printers is a mustExperience working with graphicsPrevious work experience in the field or in a related areaExperience with Adobe Suite and other graphics programs.Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, Adobe, and FieryAble to work a flexible scheduleWillingness to follow processes, safety standards and policiesSalary Description $18 to $25 per Hour
