Mackin is committed to mentoring undergraduate engineering students by offering hands-on, real-world experience alongside experienced professionals.Position OverviewMackin Engineers & Consultants is seeking a motivated Part-Time Engineering Intern currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering to join our Pittsburgh office. This position offers flexible hours and exposure to a variety of engineering and consulting services while working closely with licensed professional engineers and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with engineering analysis, design, and planning tasks across multiple disciplines• Support the preparation of engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and documentation• Perform quantity takeoffs, data analysis, and basic engineering computations• Assist with drafting, modeling, and plan production using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software as applicable• Participate in field visits, inspections, surveys, and data collection as needed• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and attend internal and client meetings• Provide general project and administrative support as assignedQualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Civil or related discipline preferred)• Completion of foundational engineering coursework preferred• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering software is a plus• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learnWhat We Offer• Flexible part-time schedule compatible with academic commitments• Hands-on experience with real-world engineering and consulting projects• Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and project types
