Role: Maintenance ManagerLocation: Compton CA Terms: Permanent/FTEThe Job You Will Perform: Actively supervises employees in the everyday coordination, execution and planning of maintenance efforts. Report to Manufacturing Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities. Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas. Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results. Maintains adequate inventories of spare parts and Purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required. Troubleshoot and solve problems. Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns. Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders. Maintain a good working relationship with the plant management, supervisory staff and hourly employees. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Continually communicate in a positive manner. Participate in weekly, monthly, semiannual and annual safety and environmental audits.The Skills You Will Bring: Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills. Five + year's maintenance and leadership experience in a manufacturing plant. College and/or related technical courses preferred. Five years' experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity preferred. Join our team and you'll see why our team members say they're Proud to be IP.SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance High Speed Manufacturing Environment CANDIDATE DETAILS 5+ to 7 years' experience Minimum Education - High School Diploma or EquivalentIDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience in maintenance within the corrugated manufacturing industry. We are open to out of industry candidates as long as they have 5 years of Maintenance Management/Supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Candidates will need to have experience with managing budgets, overseeing capital projects, managing vendors and subcontractors, continuous improvement, etc. From an employee management standpoint, they will need to have experience with interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplining. We are looking for a hands on Manager. Someone who's willing to jump in and help as well as train their team.
