Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with strong skills in engine troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair to support the U.S. Army’s Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle program. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with diesel engines, powertrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems and can diagnose complex mechanical issues in heavy vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and powertrain systems on military tracked vehicles. Perform inspections, upgrades, modifications, and maintenance on AMPV fleets. Use diagnostic tools, software, schematics, and technical manuals to identify and correct faults. Provide technical guidance and training to soldiers, field service teams, and maintenance personnel. Travel to military bases and depots to perform field repairs and support missions. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Military Vehicle Technician or ASE Certified Mechanic.  Strong background in diesel engine troubleshooting and diagnostics. Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and air-conditioning systems. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. U.S. Citizenship required (due to government contract). Must be able and willing to travel on short notice. Preferred Experience: Prior military vehicle maintenance (Bradley, Abrams, AMPV, or similar tracked vehicles). Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance systems or dealer management systems. Experience training or mentoring mechanics or soldiers. Must be able to obtain a secruity clearance within a reasonable time after hire or have one currently.  Must be a US Citizen
