MBT Mechanic Apprentice - 2nd Shift

This is a 2nd shift position with the schedule of 4:00pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Master Mechanics to ensure efficient operation of equipment and systemsInstall, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and other equipmentMaintain compliance with safety rules, for example lock out, tag out, and arc flashPerform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of building equipment and systemsTroubleshoot and repair problems with building systems and equipmentAssist with the installation of new equipment and systemsMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performedEnsure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and building codesParticipate in training sessions and other learning opportunities to improve skills and knowledgeAssist with maintaining inventory of equipment and suppliesEnsure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and storedPerform maintenance related general cleanup of facilities as neededMaintain a clean and safe working environmentAll other duties as assignedQualifications3+ years of machine operation and/or industrial machine maintenance experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skillsWillingness to learn and take direction from experienced JourneymenAbility to work a regular schedule, which may include weekends and holidaysAbility to and knowledge in operating small hand power toolsAbility to follow established procedures and protocols for completing tasksAbility to work 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week, this can increase to 16 hours depending on process conditionsPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or certificate in a related fieldPrior experience working in facilities maintenance or a related fieldKnowledge of safety regulations and building codes1 year or more papermill experiencePhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to climb ladders and do overhead workMust be able to bend, squat, and complete tasks on the floorAbility to walk and stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to operate hand and power tools for extended periods of timeOfficial Contact InformationEmail: All official emails will come from an @ addressWebsite: Verify job listings and contact details on We will never contact you via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets.
