Working both with internal and external customers. Following one-off testing projects from start to finish. Working with test engineers to bring your work to life. You would participate in team and customer meetings to identify requirements, specifications, timelines, and customer expectations. This position is a day shift role. Hours would be 4, 10-hour shifts weekly Tuesday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm.QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Helping engineers/customers when neededSetting up test cellsCleaning/organizing test cells and facilitiesBuilding oil conditioning cartsFabricating and/or machining fixturingKeeping workspace clean (shop trash/cans/fab room)Keeping cells running after shop hoursMaintaining shop inventoryHelp engineers' problem solveSupporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Skill Requirements: Technical degree in automotive related discipline, or equivalent experienceAdvanced experience with hand tools requiredUnderstanding of electrical schematics and drawings preferred1-5 years of mechanical work in either automotive or fabricationFamiliarity with electric motors, pumps, and VFD's a plusAbility to work and problem solve on vehicles or ATV'sAbility to work hands-on with mechanical and electrical wiringFluency in the English language is requiredProblem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills requiredAbility to function within a team, working cooperatively toward team and individual goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredDemonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersStrong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail requiredOrganize and maintain efficiency of personal work areaRequired on-site work as needed, per our Remote Work PolicyConsistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the jobAccept instructions and tasks in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respectWorking knowledge with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)A valid driver's license required for travel to customer sites, picking up parts, etc. (Chauffeurs, CDL preferred)Consistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulationsProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude requiredSelf-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skillsAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goalsPhysical Requirements: Exposure to industry accepted chemicals and noiseFlexibility to support test activity at off-site locations and outside of traditional working hoursRegularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facilityAble to lift and/or move materials as needed in the performance of assigned dutiesAble to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assistedAble to stand for up to 8 hoursRequirements include, but are not limited to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, lift, see, speak, hearAdditional InformationFor you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
