Sportech's reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is $20.50 per hour. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).Job SummaryPerforms general warehouse work that may involve receipt of incoming material/product, using material moving/handling equipment to store materials in designated areas, and/or retrieving materials from warehouse locations to supply production operations or support customer shipment of company products. Has the knowledge of warehouse layout and the safe operation of material moving and handling equipment including lift truck, pallet jack, or motorized forklift. Skilled in reading company work orders and shipping documents and determining appropriate action from it.Essential Job FunctionsOffload materials from trucks and trailersPlace materials in designated areas and manage space and bin locations in the marketPerform receiving verification counts and escalate quality concern to receiving inspectorMaintain accurate records and inventory balances and product identificationWork directly with production personnel to coordinate the movement of materials from the warehouse to manufacturing and assembly linesPerforms transaction inventory entries into ERP systemComplies with applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor or appropriate resourceNotify Supervisor or other appropriate resources when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, and standard work documentationDispositions scrap bracing, cardboard, and packaging dunnage in proper designated areasMaintains equipment including safety checksEnsures that product meets Sportech's quality specificationsPerforms rotational assignments as neededMaintains a clean, safe and organized work area following 5S procedures and practicesParticipates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needsMay be required to perform additional duties as assignedRequirements Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year or more of relevant experienceForklift training and certification requiredAbility to lift and perform other physically demanding tasks associated with material handling and receivingAccurate counting skillSome computer skillsAbility to collaborate and build relationships with team members
