About YouWe are looking for a Journeyman Diesel Service Technician to join our team! The right candidate will have a strong diesel service technician background, excellent communication skills, time-management skills, and a desire to provide superb customer service.Primary AccountabilitiesThe day-to-day duties of this role include:Performing work on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standardsDiagnosing repairs neededTest-drive vehicles, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle diesel automotive systems including:EngineTransmissionElectrical steeringSuspensionBrakesAir conditioning, etc.Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed partsCommunicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers are informed if any additional service is neededProvide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsOperates all tools and equipment in a safe mannerKeeps shop area neat and cleanDiesel Journeyman Service Technician Qualifications2+ years of Service Technician experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, ASE certification preferredB level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repairDexterity, excellent hand-eye coordinationDiesel mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentBasic computer competenciesExcellent customer service skills, positive, friendly attitude, with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentAbility to collaborate with other team members effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specificationsAbility to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods of timeValid driver's license and clean driving recordBenefits and PerksEmployee discountPaid trainingASE certification reimbursementMedicalDentalHealth Savings AccountLife insuranceAD&D insuranceShort-term disability insuranceLong-term disability insurance401(k) and Roth 401(k) with employer matching contributionJob Type: Full-time (Monday thru Saturday)
