Service Department Experience RequiredWe are hiring a hands-on Service Department Manager to help manage and grow our service department. Responsible for controlling costs, maintaining good employee relationships, obtaining sales and profit objectives, and building a loyal clientele. The ideal candidate will be a team-builder, team-player, and customer-focused, organized, and highly motivated.We offer:Monthly Performance bonusHealthcare, Medical and Dental insurance optionsPaid vacation and sick timeResponsibilities:Manage the Service Department to include technicians and service advisors, Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet themWill participate in Service Advisor activities:Act as the first point of contact for service customers, providing outstanding customer service, leaving a positive impression with the customer. Maintain a high customer service index.Actively listen to engage and understand the customer's vehicle concerns and answer technical questions regarding repairs, warranties, and servicesDispatch service work to technicians, and assist in maintaining work-flow and production in the shop.Create repair order and communicate vehicle needs clearly to technician; evenly distribute work between techniciansCommunicate vehicle diagnoses and maintenance needs to customer. Advise and sell needed workFollow up on vehicles throughout the repair process, keeping customer updatedEnsure customers vehicles are serviced properly and in a timely mannerConduct Service Department performance and safety meetingsOversee technical and safety training of all Service Department employeesMust be results- driven, highly energized, and a customer service-oriented leaderMust have a passion for taking care of customersHandle and resolve customer complaintsMotivate, train, develop, and reward employeesWill communicate with customers about maintenance and service work needed efficientlyContinue to maintain value, quality, integrity, and CSIQualifications/Requirements:Previous dealership Service Management experience strongly preferred Knowledge of dealership warranty process and policies; dealership financial statements; principles and processes for providing customer serviceThe ability to identify causes of operating errors and the knowledge to create and implement corrective actionsThe ability to use good judgment in challenging situationsA professional demeanor when interacting with customersMust have a valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving recordWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
