Description Position at BayMark Health Services Full Time - Sr. Director of AccountingReporting directly to the VP, Corporate Controller, and the SR. Director of Accounting for BayMark Health Services, Inc. is responsible for the accuracy of accounts receivable, bad debt expense and allowance for doubtful accounts. In addition, the role is responsible for the reconciliation of the data sets used to calculate bad debt by line of business.Responsibilities: Act as a detail-oriented working leader to perform and support the reconciliation of accounts receivable in the general ledger to the aged balances across seven different EMR systemsPerform the triangle-of-truth reconciliation for both revenue and cash to triangulate accuracy between the various EMR systems, the G/L and the Company's "Data Lake"Act as a liaison with the external audit team, responding to inquiries in a timely manner and meeting audit deadlinesRecord monthly bad debt entries by line of business by pre-determined close deadlinesEnsure that A/R reconciles to the aged A/R Sub ledger within the multiple EMR systemsResolves complex accounting issues by performing GAAP research and documenting conclusionsDirect the activities of the department in the process of reviewing/approving/posting of monthly journal entriesEnsure proper balance sheet reconciliationsSupport clinics by responding promptly and accurately to financial inquiriesSupport the annual budget process through interface with Financial Planning & Analysis staffProvide leadership for the annual financial audit process and special audits during the yearEnsure all monthly processes are documented with accurate and complete desktop proceduresDocument and Monitor internal controls and propose improvements where necessaryEnsure proper financial reporting for assigned G/L accounts in compliance with GAAPComply with BayMark policies and procedures, Compliance Policy and Code of EthicsConduct special projects and other duties, as assigned by managementMinimum Qualifications:Required, Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field of studyRequired, Seven (7) years of related work experienceRequired: Either CPA certification or two (2) years of related public accounting experience in audit with CPA in processExceptional oral and written communication skills are requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be a power user of ExcelMust be able to clean, restructure, and consolidate massive datasets (200k+ rows) from disparate sources using Power BIExperience working with Great Plains is a plusProven ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills in managing multiple projectsMust be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail and audit-trail documentation must be maintained in the face of multiple competing demands for your timeStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashionAbility to work independently, with little supervisionAbility to effectively direct and superviseAbility to work effectively under stressful conditionsAbility to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditionsCompliance with accepted professional standards and practicesInitiative to take charge of unforeseen situations, solve problems and adjust to schedule changesSatisfactory references from employers and/or professional peersSatisfactory criminal background checkSatisfactory drug screenBenefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(K)Generous paid time off accrualExcellent growth and development opportunitiesSatisfying and rewarding work striving to overcome the opioid epidemicHere is what you can expect from us:BayMark Health Services specializes in the treatment of opioid addiction.
