Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center -     Full Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Assistant Position Overview: the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness, Life Safety, and operational functioning of the community in compliance with local, OSHA, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing of all outside contracts and vendors related to community maintenance. This position is a key position who works collaboratively with the leadership team. Essential Job Functions Customer ServiceProvide excellent customer service to internal and external customers · Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner · Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority · Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the building; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators) · Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisor and all community personnel · Reinforce a customer experience of the highest quality ·  Maintenance Daily walk through community (including parking area) at beginning and end of shift to monitor general condition and tidiness of environment Repair drywall and touch-up paint as needed Keep Maintenance Log with list of requested and completed repairs Repair bathroom fixtures and plumbing as needed Clean light fixtures on exterior and interior of the building; change light bulbs on exterior and interior common areas of the building Respond to resident requests timely and with courtesy Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, coworkers and others Must be able to assist in the evacuation of the residents Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public Must pass criminal background check   Job Type: Full-time :Schedule: 8 hour shift COVID-19 considerations:Must be vaccinated or willing to receive vaccination Work Location: One location Work Remotely: No
