Automotive Paint Prep Technician

Abra Auto Body & Glass is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician for our fast-paced, state-of-the-art facility. The Paint Prep Technician ensures that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The Paint Prepper is tasked with quality preparation for all assigned vehicles prior to the paint, reassembly, and final finish stages.Reviews estimates and understands scope of repairInspects body repairs to ensure standards are metTapes surface areas and parts with precision to minimize tapelines and oversprayApplies masking paper as necessaryParts removal and reassembly as requiredPerforms final surface cleaning and preparation for proper adhesionMay block and sand repair areas as neededPrime, edge, jam replacement parts as requestedLearns to mix paint as neededMust have basic knowledge of painting system and paint process. Must be 18 years of age , clean driving record and background check.
