RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) and Construction Management Division is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in and around the Lake Okeechobee, FL area. As a Senior Construction Inspector with RK&K you will lead and strengthen our construction engineering and inspection business. Including highway, bridge, design / design-build projects. Opportunities for growth and training into construction management and office engineering careers.Essential FunctionsAssisting the Project Administrator in daily roadway inspection Ensuring contractor compliance alongside quality control Performing verification inspections and testing as required These tests and inspections include, but are not limited to: earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc. This position provides general supervision and instruction for the CEI Inspectors on the projects Required Skills and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) year of which shall have been in roadway construction inspectionCTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level IICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level IICTQP Drilled ShaftCTQP Final Estimates IFDOT Intermediate MOTIMSA Traffic Signal InspectorPreferred Skills and Experience BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution Previous senior roadway inspection experience Other DutiesThis job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
