Job SummaryThe Cloud AWS Engineer III will provide technical leadership in delivering large-scale cloud and infrastructure solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, and reviewing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), supporting strategic technology initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions. The position requires strong expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and enterprise infrastructure environments.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a hands-on technical engineer to support the development and implementation of strategic technology initiatives.Develop Infrastructure as Code to support proof-of-concept work and production environments.Review IaC developed by peers to ensure alignment with business objectives, engineering practices, and security standards.Partner with product owners to prioritize technical work and guide agile product teams.Validate new features to ensure alignment with business needs, engineering patterns, and security requirements.Provide technical leadership during design and implementation activities.Lead architectural and engineering discussions for technical and business stakeholders.Support application teams in adopting platform services and integrating with cloud offerings.Collaborate with technical and operational teams to identify architectural gaps and recommend improvements.Analyze and update system and product documentation as needed.Approve risk-level changes and recommend solutions to minimize system disruptions.Evaluate, recommend, and select new services, software, and hardware.Ensure adherence to technical standards and mentor technical staff on tools and best practices.Monitor compliance with internal engineering and security standards.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.3+ years (Senior level) or 6+ years (Advanced level) of experience delivering large technical projects across business, development, and infrastructure teams.2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies such as virtualization, containerization, and infrastructure as code.Associate-level certification in a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) or equivalent hands-on experience.Hands-on experience developing solutions using DevOps practices and IaC.Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.Strategic mindset with ability to perform high-level technical analysis and research.Experience working within large infrastructure hosting environments, including application hosting, distributed messaging, networking (VPNs, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing), and security technologies (PKI, authentication, authorization).Strong understanding of how infrastructure components integrate to provide end-to-end solutions.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting major enterprise technology initiatives across multi-team environments.Experience mentoring technical teams and supporting engineering governance.Experience with monitoring and compliance frameworks.
