Simulator Flight Instructor

1. Summary of Position:Instruct helicopter type ratings, recurrent flight training and special flight courses for AWTA in accordance with the relative syllabus, in a timely and professional manner. Participate on the development of new training courses and ensure a high level of paperwork and record keeping. Occasionally deliver the courses off site.2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities: % of Time1.Deliver Pilot Type Rating and Recurrent Flight courses 702.Deliver other training courses as applicable103.Study and train as needed to remain current as an instructor (and Examiner) pilot him/herself, remaining informed and up-to-date on the latest standards, procedures and regulations as applicable54.Be responsible to complete all required training paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion55.Assist in the ongoing development of AWTA curriculum, products and services46.Maintain and update training materials and publications.37.Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned310.TOTAL: 100% Qualifications for Position: A. EducationCommercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Rating. 3000+ hrs Total Flight Time. CFI required CFII preferred. B. ExperienceA minimum of 5 years experience performing helicopter instruction and/or flying. C. Competencies & Attributes1.Instructor and/or examiner back ground in helicopters2.Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate3.Strong IFR experience and knowledge4.Excellent interpersonal communications skills and MS Office knowledge.
