Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in the Shelby Township, MI area. Location: Shelby Township, MI Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and directing activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations to ensure product quality, compliance with customer requirements, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and support overall Quality Systems Management activities Play an active role in APQP, PPAP, and new product launch initiatives Collaborate with Engineering to resolve production and process-related issues Develop sampling procedures and create forms/instructions for recording and reporting quality data Partner with Operations to ensure proper in-process inspections and final product quality Record and analyze test data using statistical quality control methods Perform internal audits, supplier audits, and layered process audits Maintain and update the Corrective Action Log and ensure timely resolution of issues Implement and oversee Engineering Change Processes (ECP) and related activities Perform gauge calibration, maintenance, and minor repairs Conduct product inspections including in-process checks, development studies, annual validations, and PPAP submissions Support APQP requirements with both customers and suppliers Interface with customers regarding nonconforming material and containment activities Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and applicable engineering standards Manage scrap reporting and drive corrective actions Support continuous improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred OR Minimum of 2+ years of related manufacturing quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments preferred Familiarity with automotive quality requirements preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience running and programming CMM (PC-DMIS) preferred Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Ability to pass pre-employment screening (drug test, background check) About Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) ITS is an international recruiting and staffing firm founded in 1984.
