Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for anFAA Assembly and Test Technician to join a leading Company located in the Rocky Mount, NCsurrounding area. Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour Schedule: 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Training: On-the-job (OJT) during first-shift hours This position supports the manufacturing of sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems for aircraft and helicopter engines used in both commercial and military applications. Candidates must have strong mechanical and technical skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Job Responsibilities: + Perform standard testing processes on various equipment ; record and analyze results. + Use precision tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment for assembly, calibration, and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel controls. + Follow electronic work instructions, engineering and quality procedures, and blueprints. + Inspect parts and products for quality ; report defects and initiate corrective actions. + Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to 5S standards. + Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement activities. + Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Basic Hiring Criteria: + High School Diploma (Associate's degree preferred). + Ability to follow detailed assembly/test instructions and interpret blueprints. + Skilled in using precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers). + Proficient with hand tools and basic computer applications (MS Office, internet). + Intermediate math skills. Desired Qualifications: + 2-3 years of experience in assembly and/or test manufacturing. + North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold). + Six Sigma training or certification. + Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace environment. + Strong teamwork and communication skills. + Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
