Job Type Full-timeDescriptionDining Services at Elizabethtown College is seeking (2) General Kitchen Utility Workers. Position #1 : Is a yearly 10-month role, mid-August through mid-May. Summers off! Position #2: is a yearly 12-month role. Please indicate which position you would prefer when applying.Full for consideration, please provide a resume and contact information for three references. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and organization of all service ware, cooking utensils, and equipment for residential dining facilities, cash operations, and catered events. This position also supports overall kitchen cleanliness, including deep cleaning of kitchen floors, walk-ins, and workspaces.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSClean and sanitize all service ware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipmentClean, sanitize, and maintain all beverage, waffle, and cereal equipmentPreform dish room duties, including pre-rinsing dishware, washing flatware, plates, bowls and scrubbing pots and pansClean and sanitize dining room tables and chairsMaintain adequate stock levels of dishes, flatware, beverage, cereal, waffle mix, and related itemsUtilize all equipment and chemicals safely and effectivelyAlways maintain the highest levels of safety and sanitationMaintain sanitation and equipment records as requiredMaintain optimum station coverage at all times and cover for coworkers' breaks and PTOProvide exceptional customer serviceTrain student personnelClean and maintain kitchen spaces, including floors, walk-in coolers, and prep areasEnsure all kitchen areas are properly closed, organized and ready for the following day's operationOther duties as assignedNON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in receiving deliveries and stocking inventory as requiredAssist in food production as requiredConduct all responsibilities in a safe manner according to regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
