Our maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, uptime, and safe operations.Who You AreWe are seeking a technically strong Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support our freeze drying and packaging operations. This role requires a well-rounded technician who is confident in both mechanical and electrical systems and capable of working independently in a rapidly growing production environment. You will be responsible for maintaining highly automated production systems and supporting operational reliability through structured troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.ResponsibilitiesEquipment Reliability & Preventative MaintenancePerform scheduled and precision preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systemsInspect, adjust, lubricate, and calibrate machinery to maintain optimal performanceIdentify developing issues before they become downtime eventsAccurately document maintenance activity and findingsAdvanced Troubleshooting & RepairDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failuresTroubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, and motor control systemsRead and interpret schematics and technical documentationPerform structured root cause analysis to prevent repeat failuresRespond to production issues with urgency and professionalismInstallation & Continuous ImprovementAssist with equipment installation, modification, and upgradesSupport automation adjustments and calibrationContribute to reliability improvements and process optimizationCompliance & Operational StandardsAdhere to all food safety, GMP, and OSHA requirementsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentFollow established safety protocols and report hazards immediatelyCollaboration & CommunicationWork closely with production and leadership teamsCommunicate equipment conditions and repair plans clearlyMaintain accurate maintenance recordsQualificationsWe are seeking a technician who takes pride in technical capability and accountability.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)3-5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experienceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilityExperience with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, and HMIsAbility to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsPreferred ExperienceFood manufacturing or regulated production environmentsKnowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Lean/TPM principlesBasic welding and fabrication skillsFamiliarity with refrigeration systemsBilingual (English/Spanish) proficiencyWork EnvironmentThis position operates in a GMP-regulated food manufacturing facility.
