Infucare RX is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician/Compounding Technicianto join our team in Aston area. As a Pharmacy Technician/ Compounding Technician, you support all phases of pharmacy compounding and dispensing while delivering patient-centered service. This role works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborates with caregivers, prescribers, and internal teams to ensure safe, accurate, and timely preparation of medications.The technician contributes to sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, quality assurance, and customer service in accordance with company policies, state regulations, and professional standards.This position is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, compounding experience, and a commitment to excellence in home infusion care.InfuCare Rx is a leading home infusion provider accredited by URAC and ACHC offering a specialized approach to caring for patients in need of IV therapy and specialty pharmacy services in the homecare setting. We have created an ethical, team oriented, and quality work environment for our employees that cultivates achievement and success.Job Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist the Compounding Technician will:Assist the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniquesPerform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dose of medicationDemonstrate & incorporates principles of safety, sterile product processing & infection control into daily activities as outlined in organization's policies/proceduresDispense products and record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents for prescription including ticket and labelsEnsure that a licensed pharmacist on duty properly checks all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery and participate in patient outreach processAssist with the selection, packing and delivery of specialty infusion products and services on a patient specific basisContact patients, caregivers and other stakeholders to determine health, supplies or delivery matters and as neededConfirm delivery based on company protocolsAssist with recording and maintaining of various pharmacy logsEnsure that all pharmacy, preparation and all surfaces are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsAdhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices. Comply with state and federal lawsAssists with product purchasing, inventory and equipment managementCoordinate with suppliers and ensure the correct drug products are received from the wholesale company if requestedVerify the accuracy of product orders received. Checks prices against contract and in the schedule of charges. Assists with the system of tracking infusion pumps and medical equipment. Sterile Compounding- Where applicableAseptically prepares all sterile product requests for patients upon receipt of physician orders in accordance with established policies & procedures.Maintains appropriate logs & cleaning records of biomedical equipment.Carries out various quality assurance procedures & testing specific to sterile compounding as required.Assists with certification of staff and equipment specific to sterile compounding and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of (5) years' experience as a Pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacyIV tech certification is preferred.Excellent Communication skills including reading, writing, and speakingExperience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfactionBasic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelAbility to compound, prepare and dispense medications/supplies including clean room maintenance.Ability to record and maintain pharmacy records. Understand how to calculate and check for correct doses of medication.
