Saint John's Resort seeks willing, reliable Rough Mower Operators to support the Grounds Crew team members for the upcoming 2026 season. New Associates will play a significant role in maintaining our new facilities and help prepare each day for golfers and resort guests.The Rough Mower Operator is responsible for maintaining the rough areas of the golf course by utilizing specialized mowing equipment. This role ensures the course remains in optimal playing condition, contributing to an exceptional golfing experience. The ideal candidate should have experience with golf course or landscaping equipment, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.Championship Golf Course - The Cardinal7-hole Par 3 Executive Golf Course - The Little CardinalPutting Course - Cardinal Putting Course - CPCEquipment fleet - John Deere - 2023Irrigation System - Rain Bird ICM, HDPE System - 2023Seasonal Positions are available from April through November.Eager to learn new skills and equipment operation practices. We will perform all training on-site.Our work requires us to be outside in various weather conditions. Uniforms are provided for all weather types. Nothing better than watching the sunrise each day on a beautiful golf course!Service-oriented mentality with a positive team attitude.Monday - Friday 5:30 am - 2:00 pm Hours reflect approximate start and finishing times which may be adjusted based on weather, tournaments, and outings.August schedules will vary based on the 2026 LIV Team Championship preparations and throughout the event.Daily ResponsibilitiesOperate rough mowing equipment to cut and maintain rough grass areas on the golf course.Inspect, clean, and maintain mowing equipment.Follow golf course standards for mowing patterns, height, and frequency.Assist with other grounds maintenance tasks as needed (debris removal, moving cart traffic rope and stakes)Communicate effectively with other grounds staff and supervisors.Respect and accommodate golf play, working efficiently without disrupting golfersPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additional training or certifications in landscaping, turf management, or related fields can be beneficialKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to multi-task Understanding of lawn care practices, including the maintenance of greens, tees, and fairways. Experience in evaluating emergency crisis situations Ability to operate and maintain a variety of power and hand tools safely and efficiently.
