Space Force Test Engineer Location: Scottsdale, Arizona Type: Contract Job #87714 Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force Test Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support highly classified Space Force programs focusing on the testing and evaluation of complex systems, products, and specialized devices in a defense and aerospace environment. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in planning, executing, and improving test strategies to ensure system performance, reliability, and mission readiness. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience. Location: Scottsdale, AZ Position: Space Force Test Engineer Contract: 12 - 24 months with possibility of going direct Pay: $86.63/hour CLEARANCE: Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to: Plan and execute test strategies for new systems, products, and specialized devices Develop test and diagnostic programs, procedures, and technical specifications Design and implement test fixtures, tools, and supporting equipment Support system integration, verification, validation, and qualification testing Analyze test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions Collaborate with engineering teams, program management, and external stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and methodologies Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant test engineering experience; OR Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Clearance Requirements: Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required Knowledge Skills And Abilities: Expert knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and best practices Strong experience with object-oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages Proven ability to develop test methods that improve efficiency, quality, and reliability Ability to contribute to the development of new technical approaches and methodologies Willingness to anticipate technical and business needs and shape future opportunities Recognized as a subject matter expert across multiple technical areas Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Comfortable interacting with managers, cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills Ability to rapidly learn and apply new technical information Comfortable handling increasing responsibility and technical complexity Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development About our client: Our client is a mission critical DOD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
